I'll never forget my first encounter with one of these adorable little creatures, I was complete smitten!
I have hand painted a cheeky little red squirrel onto this beautiful semi precious agate stone slice. I use gouache paint and teeny tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details. I try my absolute best to capture the spirit of the animals that I paint, this little chap is tiny, and I spent a long time capturing his sweet little face in as much details I could. I select each piece of agate to provide a unique and unusual background to each of my paintings, its taken me many years to perfect painting on agate, its nothing like painting on paper!
I have coated it in a tough resin to enhance the beautiful colours and to give long lasting protection to the painting.
The size is 7 cm x 6 cm, and it comes gift boxed complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
