Lion Hand Painted on to Agate

I have hand painted a majestic lion in miniature onto a beautiful semi precious agate stone slice. This handsome boy is Rori, he was rescued from Ukraine by the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent, UK. I use gouache paint and tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details. The patterns and colours of the agate provide an unusual background to my paintings, and I try my absolute best to capture the spirit of the animals that I paint. I have coated the painting in a tough resin which really brings out the colours and gives long lasting protection to the painting.

The size of the agate slice is 8 cm x 5.5 cm, and it comes gift boxed complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
