I have hand painted a cute little prickly hedgehog onto this beautiful semi precious agate slice. I use gouache paint and teeny tiny brushes to enable me to capture minute details, the prickles on this painting took some time to paint. I always try my best to capture the spirit of the animals that I paint, I adore hedgehogs, I feel so blessed to have them visit my garden!
I choose each agate piece so that the colours and patterns provide an unusual background for my artwork.
I have coated the finished piece in a tough resin to enhance the gorgeous colours and to give long lasting protection to the painting.
The size is 8 cm x 4.5 cm, and it comes gift boxed complete with a display stand and certificate of authenticity signed by me.
