Hand Drawn Cave Lion Wood Pendant

This lovely wooden pendant depicts an image from The Panel of The Lions in Chauvet Cave in Southern France. The Cave Art images were made by Upper Paleolithic humans and are thought to be over 30,000 years old. They are some of the earliest known cave paintings.
The pendant, however, is much newer and made by me! I used a pyrography pen to burn the lions into the wood, trying my best to faithfully capture the spirit of this ancient and special artwork.
I added a coat of acrylic varnish to protect the drawing.
The size is 4 cm x 4 cm, and is 8 mm thick. and it is strung on a length of cotton cord that measures 70 cm. The cord is adjustable so you can easily make it shorter once it has been put on over your head. It comes in a jute gift bag complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by me.
This pendant has bark still attached to it so is not suitable for posting to countries with restrictions (Australia & New Zealand)
